local dialect

I'm doing a study into the local dialect (of Halstead/the colne valley)for my University dissertation. Has anyone got old letters/diaries etc that I could have access to (photocopy etc). I need anything from Halstead, the Colnes or Chappel between 1950ish to the present day. Thank you,
